What is the treatment like to experience?

During your CoolPeel treatment, you will be resting comfortably at Matisse Medspa. If you are sensitive or worried about pain, a numbing cream can be applied before your treatment, which will add a few minutes to the appointment. Once the area is numbed, the device is applied to the skin to address hyperpigmented areas, wrinkles, lines, or sagging skin. This laser skin resurfacing treatment takes only about ten minutes or less to complete, after which you are free to return to your usual routine.

What is the recovery time after a CoolPeel treatment?

Traditional CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatments are very effective but had a week or two or more of downtime, along with crusting and peeling before the skin fully recovered. CoolPeel skin resurfacing has minimal recovery time. After the treatment (which takes only a few minutes), you can go to work or other activities. Your skin will feel warm, or as if sunburned for about one hour.

You will be given instructions regarding keeping your skin heavily moisturized. You will need to avoid sun exposure, vigorous exercise, or any activity that would cause you to sweat for about a week. Your skin will be slightly rough for about a week. You are free to wear mineral makeup after the first 24 to 48 hours.
