- Sternal Reconstruction
Female in her 50s presented with infection in her sternal bone. This is a serious infection that can lead to death in up to 40% of cases. I cleared the infection with wide local debridement plus directed antibiotics. The wound was reconstructed with a right sided VRAM musculocutaneous flap.She has healed and has resumed her life at home.
